The startup talent pool for ANZ

Every great startup needs the right lineup. Time to build yours.

Find a cofounder, hire your first people, or join a startup. One place for everyone building early-stage.

Because without the right people, even the best ideas stay just that: ideas.

What is Lineup?

Lineup is where startup people find each other. Solo founders find cofounders and early teammates. Growing startups find their first hires. And people who want to build in startups find a way in, at whatever level and whatever pace suits them.

Everyone here has chosen the startup world. That's what makes the matches better: same culture, same mindset, people who'd rather build than climb a corporate ladder.

From New Zealand, for the ANZ region, and open to the world.

New projects and people joining all the time.
Find the projects, people and jobs that inspire you.

The projects. Find out who's building what around you, how far along they are, and what they're looking for.

What you're looking for

The part no dropdown can hold. A few sentences on what you want next: the cofounder, the first hire, the role you're after, or the gap you can fill.

  • Written in your own words
  • The reason the first message is not cold
Looking for
A technical cofounder who has shipped something to real users before. I can sell it and I know the market. I just cannot build it on my own.

Nobody here is a cold message.

Hey Ada,

I found your profile and thought your background was interesting. Would you be open for a chat this week?

A request inside Lineup. Neither email address changes hands.

You already know what they are building, what they need and how much time they have; it is on their profile. Lineup turns that into a first message worth replying to.

The same goes for applications: employers see your profile and your answers to their questions, and the conversation starts inside Lineup.

Context before the first line. The introduction arrives already knowing why you wrote.

Your address stays yours. It arrives in Lineup beside your profile, and the reply comes back to you there.

Hiring your first people shouldn't be harder than finding your cofounder.

Traditional job ads are slow, expensive, and bring in hundreds of AI-written applications that all read the same. Lineup works differently.

Reach people who chose startups.

Founders and startup people, not suppliers selling a one-off job.

See the person, not the polish.

Applicants come with one profile and their answers to your questions.

Skip the employer branding.

We bring startup people into one growing pool, so you don't have to compete with big-company brands or pay recruiter fees.

Fast, and free during the pilot.

Post in minutes, approved within one business day.

For builders, hustlers and people who want to make a change.

Find your way into startups, grow into your next role, or pick up a paid project on the side, without going corporate. Work with people who share your mindset.

If you're after the biggest salary or an impressive title, this isn't the place. If you want to build something that matters, it is.

Meet the community. The people behind the profiles, in person.

Breakfasts, match nights and meetups for founders and startup people. Come along, meet someone new, and find your next teammate face to face.

Questions, answered.

Is Lineup free?

There is always a free tier for founders and people looking for a startup to join. Posting jobs is free during the hiring pilot, and will stay competitively priced after it.

Who can post jobs?

Startups, investors (for example an entrepreneur-in-residence role) and ecosystem programmes. Every job is reviewed before it goes live.

Why do I need a profile to see jobs?

Jobs are for the Lineup community. That keeps them in front of people who genuinely want to work in startups.

Paid projects or roles?

Both. A job is any paid role: full time, part time, contract or an internship, and a short paid project goes up as a contract. A role offered for equity alone is a project, and lives on the cofounder side of Lineup.

How is this different from a freelancer platform?

Lineup's pool is founders and startup people who want to grow with a team, not suppliers selling one-off jobs. A paid project here can grow into a role, equity or a cofounder seat.

Equity or pay?

Either, or both. Lineup doesn't decide the terms; you do. A job can say whether equity comes on top of the pay.

Where does the work happen?

Wherever the job says. Each job says where and how the work happens, onsite, hybrid or remote, and applicants say where they have the right to work, which employers see in every application.

There has never been a better time to build a startup.

Small teams can build more than ever. With today's tools, a few people ship what used to take a whole company.

Starting on the side is normal now. You can try working together on a project or part time before anyone goes all in.

What's still hard is the people. The right cofounder, the right first hire, the right startup to join. That part is what Lineup is for.

Build your lineup.

Whether you're finding a cofounder, hiring your first people or looking for your startup move, it starts with one profile.
